Meet Dr. Joseph
Dr Joseph is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, associated with FACOG (Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecologists), AAOCG (American Academy of Cosmetic Gynecologists) and AACS (American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons.) He presently serves as the medical director for Essence of Eve Day Med Spa.
He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of UT San Antonio. He attended medical school at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth from 1983 to 1987. He completed his internship at UT Southwestern Medical School Family Practice in Wichita Falls, Texas in 1988. His OB/GYN residency was at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas. From 1991 to 1993 he served as Director of resident education and chief of Gynecology at Darnell Army Hospital at Fort Hood,Texas. He was honorably discharged from the Army in 1993. He has served our country for 15 years and was highly decorated for his service.
Dr. Joseph moved to McKinney in 1995. He and and his wife, Darla, both have busy careers - she owns a full service day med spa, Essence of Eve Day Med Spa & Gift Boutique at the southeast corner of Virginia Parkway and Ridge within the Professional Park in McKinney, Texas. They have five children (counting their beautiful daughter-in-law), one grandson, Reed, who is two, and a granddaughter, Reese. Two children are in high school at McKinney North. When their busy life affords them leisure time they enjoy working out, cooking together, entertaining, dining out with friends, and enjoying the simple blessings of their life. They attend church at Covenant Church of McKinney.
Dr. Joseph is the son of an Air Force pilot, LTC James "JimmyJoe" Joseph. He grew up all over the world. After high school in San Antonio, he served in the U.S. Navy in the submarine service as a launcher technician and diver with a specialty in nuclear weapons. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 1978.
